Our beloved Roy, and dear friend to so many of you, Roy Velez, passed away Thursday evening, May 15th. He will be sorely missed by so many who knew and loved him. We all remember his kindness and caring about everything, even those small things, his love of laughter and of sharing jokes, his helpfulness and his joy of living. He loved the Ridglea and all of you bands who played there. Roy took delight in being the best sound guy he could be and cared about each of you, taking pride in working with you to make every show perfect! As one guy used to say "Bands write great music, Roy made it sound AWESOME!" ROY WAS SPECIAL! Roy was part of our Ridglea Family as so many of you are and we all miss him already.This past year he shared his home in the country with his dear wife and daughter, a horse and even a pot bellied pig which he got because his daughter wanted it. No surprise, Roy learned to love that pig too although he wasn't too thrilled initially. We are all richer because Roy was part of our lives.
Funeral Services are on Sunday, May 18th at

New Promo Picture and Curtain Show recap
Damn... what can I say but wow.. I had no idea this show was going to turn out like it did. We had our largest draw in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that we have ever had. It was almost sold out. Between us and Manditory this fucking place was packed....packed! We ran through the list of songs on the cd minus kill or be killed. We did two new ones not on the cd..aswell as WALK by PanFUCKINtera. We brought Michael Harris up to jam with us..and to rip the solo. For those who don't know him.... check him out ASAP. www.michaelharrisguitar.com I think his site is messed up but you can also find him on myspace.
We filmed the entire show. It's all caught on camera thank god. Everyone will be seeing it very soon. The video will be for Blood Is Bond. We did lots of behind the scenes stuff..and will begin shooting the reg. video type stuff in the coming days. It'll be a mix of live and reg. video type stuff. I was thinkin the devildriver video for End Of The Line. Where it's a mix of lots of footage..but mostly captures the live show. Should be cool. Anyway thanks to everyone that came out...and the people that came up on stage with us for WALK. Esp Brady from 3/4 Ton, and Andrew from System Overload...aswell as others. It was a dream come true to be jamming guitar with Michael Harris.... I never would have thought that would happen. Seeing him play lets you know just how good you are not! lol... it's ok..he's teaching me...so I will swipe all I can from him..lol
